If the main hub and its features don't appeal to you, that's perfectly fine. This is the perfect time to configure your Digitized Technical Friend or your DTF status. A DTF is similar to a dæmon from His Dark Materials in that it is connected to and a reflection of a character's soul. These DTFs take shape accordingly and are projections similar to the NPCs. Think of them as your own personal Clippy except less annoying. Hopefully.

Once that's set-up, there are other locations of the main hub to investigate! You can visit the training grounds, music lounge, library, and onsen. Also, feel free to leave an offering for the resident deity of sleep (Hypnos) at his shrine! You can even visit The Peacekeeper themselves on the second floor. They're always happy to have visitors! They're also conveniently where you might place a complaint about that status of the main hub and its amenities. Even if you do complain, The Peacekeeper will encourage others to set off and find their own place to live out in the simulation.

Granted, the housing market in the afterlife isn't exactly robust. It doesn't help that every place you find has a leaky roof or broken window. No, unfortunately that will need to be fixed the peaceful way. If you'd like more lighting or even cozier clothes, simulation inhabitants are reminded that 'peaceful interactions' are very important!

It might be a good idea to stick close to someone you know, for now, since even the smallest amounts of intimacy might see subtle changes occurring where they're staying. Perhaps that broken window is now fixed, the grime and dust seem a little less, or the floor doesn't creak quite as loud.

Larger changes, however, will only come after demonstrating the more powerful peaceful interactions. If you want new hardwood floors or a fresh coat of paint on the walls, you're going to have to demonstrate how well you 'get along' with others against them first.

A FOUL WIND BLOWS

For the last couple of weeks, The Peaceekeeper has been relatively quiet save for the mandatory greeting of newcomers. In fact, it doesn't even make the usual announcement that it has before to alert inhabitants of the sudden shift in weather. Blue skies and sunshine gradually begin to darken over. The wind picks up to a frightening gale that will see people likely needing to strap things down and fasten their shutters tight.

However, it's not anything physical that inhabitants will likely end up losing. The forceful rain, wind, and ensuing storm will instead strip away their inhibitions if they're unlucky enough to be caught in it.

What was holding you back, anyway? It's hard to remember or seems so suddenly trivial. It's not an issue anymore. that's for sure! Whether this is about something intimate, secrets kept, or things you know you shouldn't say for any number of reasons don't matter. Self-consciousness and doubt feel like a thing of the past and you're free to chase whatever whims you want!

Hopefully, you won't regret it when the effects wear off in a few day's time.

Although not everyone may be in the mood to buckle down and get to work after the storm blows through, the mess it leaves behind is literal as well as metaphorical. Time to get cleaning! The mermaids that live beneath the waves of Taasunni Beach are extremely grateful that the inhabitants have taken the time and effort to clean up their home. To show their gratitude, they've decided to let everyone experience the beauty of the once-again pristine ocean for themselves!

Upon request, one of the mermaids lounging in the shallows will kiss inhabitants to fill them with magic. This gift will transform them into merfolk themselves for about 6 hours, allowing them to breathe underwater, swim swiftly, and explore or play in the depths to their hearts' content.

Those who indulge in this, especially repeatedly, may find themselves feeling unusually buoyant and free--as though a weight has lifted from their shoulders, and their troubles are simply washing away on the tide.

Completing peaceful interactions (i.e. kinks) will reward characters with stamps that they can turn in for re-gains and many other things! While the example one here is the standard issued card by The Peacekeeper, players are more than welcome to customize it how they see fit. Have fun with it! NOTES

He leans back, swimming at a leisurely pace, allowing Dimitri to rest against him. He seems in a much more jovial mood than usual but it's not too strange. It seems genuine at least.

"What's the matter, Dimitri?" He practically coos, tucking some blonde hair behind his ear. "Are you troubled? Worrying again?" One of those webbed hands moving to pet his back, lightly tracing claws along his skin.

"Be here with me. The water is nice, the day is beautiful, there's so much to enjoy."

Dimitri has a hard time relaxing normally. To be relaxing while Byleth is a fish after that issue they had in the jungle is asking too much of him. He stays close because he knows he can't bare being apart from byleth long and he's never been that much of a fan of swimming either. He has some old memories that like to resurface when he sees deep water and you don't get much deeper than an ocean.

"This is...not my preferred spot for being calm. I'm glad you can be however."

His expression shifts to immediate concern.

"You don't enjoy the ocean? There is a cove just over there, if you prefer. The water is shallow there." He's already slowly gliding them over in that direction. It's true though, the cove is only about four or five foot deep at the deepest parts. The glittering bottom covered in soft sand and scattered shells. It's also nicely tucked away from prying eyes.

"Is it better? Or do you prefer not to be wet at all?"

"It's....complicated." It's the only answer he's going to give Byleth right now and so when they get to the shallow cove he lets out a breath he didn't know he was keeping and stands, way more at ease. His azure eyes watch as Byleth swims around and he frowns a little. "It's not deep enough is it? I'm fine here but...are you okay?"

Seeing Dimitri more at ease is a nice feeling. Byleth swims playful circles around him.

"Yes, I'm fine. Plenty of room for me. Enough with the worry or I'll be forced to take certain measures." The threat is nothing terribly serious. His tail lifts out of the water and splashes him lightly, a cheeky little look on his face. "Enjoy this beautiful day with me, won't you?"

He watches Byleth for awhile before leaning back and floating on the waves, eyes closed as he just tries to block everything out and enjoy his time with byleth. There is a bit of an opening up above the cove, enough to shine in some light and he floats over to it, letting the golden rays touch his skin.

"I'm....not used to relaxing but for you I will try anything. I'm happy you are enjoying the water."

There is no answer, just the sound of water moving. Byleth has taken the opportunity, while Dimitri is distracted to go underwater and slip up close. Close enough to come up under him and playfully tickle his sides.

For a moment Dimitri is just there floating and then it's almost too quiet. He peeks open an eye to look for Byleth but he's too late and his exposed chest is being tickled and he instantly stops floating to instead stand in the water, hunched over as scaled fingers send him into a fit of laughter. "Hahahaha! Byleth please!"

Thankfully for Dimitri, he's brief before he swims back a few feet, almost seeming to want Dimitri to chase after him. The playfulness imbued by the transformation showing quite clearly now.

"Seems you let your guard down."

Oh Dimitri totally gets the idea that Byleth is wanting to play and for someone whose childhood was stolen from him he does enjoy these sorts of rare things. He chuckles and though he isn't swimming towards Byleth he is walking to him though a little slowly thanks to the water.

"Seems I did. I believe a bit of payback is in order." There is a smile on his face as he stalks his way over, arms raised like he's going to pounce.

Byleth is low in the water, letting it just come up past his nose. Dipping under to swim up to him very lightly squeezing his sides again. At the risk of getting caught, but that's the whole point of this game isn't it?

"Oh, payback you say?" Well, he is pretty slippery, being a fish. "And can you catch me?"

"Catch you or not, I shall try." There is a hint of playfulness in his tone as he too starts to bend down into the water until only his face his above the water. He moves in closer to Byleth, mirth in his blue eyes.

"Shall we make it a game? A wager perhaps?"

Oh! That gets a little tail wiggle from Byleth. You have his attention...

"A game? A wager? Of what sort?" He has a small competitive streak, and he's all too eager to show off to Dimitri anyways. He's not exactly a showboat but he does indulge in some peacocking when it's someone he adores.

"What would you like to wager with me? I am open to most things though I do not have much to offer here anymore." The tail wiggle is adorable and Dimitri is happy he caught it. He's smiling a little at the motion as he continues to circle around Byleth in the water. "I was thinking we could play a game of catch, where I can attempt to catch you. You have the upper hand in this water."

"I like the odds of this." Byleth chuckles, watching him carefully, "A game of catch it is."

Ahh, but what to wager? Hmm. He thinks hard on that a moment before it strikes him.

"I'll wager a kiss."

"A kiss anywhere?" There is a grin in return on Dimitri's face as he steps a little closer.

"So shall we start? I'll count to three if you'd like."

"Yes. A kiss anywhere." He nods, readying himself and as Dimitri counts down, his tail wiggles more noticeably. When the man counts one, Byleth is flips backwards and sends a playful splash toward him before darting away. Not too fast... he does, after all, want to be caught eventually.

Honestly Dimitri should have seen that coming. He shouldn't have walked right into that splash that blinded him for a moment but he did and he was more soaked then he was before, his long blond hair sticking to his skin, as did his clothes. "I see you are playing hard to get, dear Byleth."

There was a playfulness in his tone as he wiped more water from his face to try and dry off a little before running after him in the shallow water. He dove to try and catch him but being scaled had byleth very slippery in his grasp.

Dear Byleth. He likes that. He dips and flits just out of Dimitri's grasp, delighted at the chase until at last, Dimitri does manage to corner him amongst a few rocks that block his way, and the man is treated to a very squirmy fish-man in his arms. Byleth knows he's lost though, and quite soundly. Turning to him with no small measure of happiness on his face.

"Well, it seems you got me. I suppose you ought to claim your prize."

While he does have Byleth in his arms, it's still a bit hard to hold him like this and so instead of kissing byleth right away he goes a bit deeper into the water until it is nearly below his chin and only then does he kiss byleth in the water, holding him tighter and a bit easier in the water. He kisses him tenderly, enjoying the feel of those lips against his and when he does break for air he does let go of Byleth, a little himself at how good the kiss felt.

"Byleth....even as a fish you are amazing."

Byleth is all too happy to indulge that kiss, and a few more that he offers up of his own accord. While his face remains ever-mind, his body tells otherwise, especially like this, wiggling with delight at the affection.

"I'll take that compliment. You are amazing too." He makes no secret of the way he winds his scaly tail around the man's body, pulling him in close.

"Not as amazing as you are." Those kisses are almost ticklish against his lips, so bubbly and sweet. It almost has him upset that it is only now he is enjoying this side of Byleth. He has yet and may never know what he did wrong to the man in his time, why he would leave him alone but the one here loves him so incredibly so. Was it that his own Byleth didn't want this love, didn't want him? The thought is a sad one and eh doesn't want Byleth to be upset by his dark thoughts.

"Too bad you are part fish, I would love nothing more than to hold you in my arms and lay across the sand with you right now." He walks a bit deeper into the water until he is swimming and byleth is safe in his wet arms. "Do you think you might be able to turn back soon?"

"I dare say I can turn back now if you like." Need he only will it to be so. With the gift having spent its purpose, the only thing on his mind right now is the prospect of cuddling. So with a bit of concentration, the tail recedes back, scales shrink and claws vanish until he is a man again. His legs visible in the water below...

Along with everything else. It seems he's bereft of any kind of clothing to speak of. Not that it seems to bother him. There is a small part of him that wants Dimitri to look. To desire him. He wants him to think of this later, when he can bear the need to touch himself no longer--

Ah. What a thought. He's gotten ahead of himself it seems.

While it is almost expected in this world, it is still a wonder to see the magic at work in things like this. The way Byleth seems to shift in his own arms and embrace has him at a loss for words. It's truly was beautiful and maybe a poet or artists would have something clever to say or paint about it but he is neither of those and so he keeps quiet. The expression of wonder in his eyes is enough to convey what he can't seem to say.

He does however take a quick look at what is below the water but only for a quick moment before he pulls Byleth up against him and lets his arms protect him. "Are you cold? I can find some clothing for you if you need."

He can't help but feel a pang of amusement at watching Dimitri realize he's nude. That awed expression and the way he pulls Byleth tight against him. It's cute beyond words.

"There is no need. The sun is warm and we are alone." His arms loop around Dimitri's shoulders, and he allows himself to settle in very close. Perhaps a bit cruel- but he is trying to court the man after all. Who could blame him for some flirtation.

"Unless you do not wish to look upon me?" He knows already the answer, but again, he wants to tease, just a little.
