TDM #1
Welcome! Everything is fine.
Uploading. . . Complete!
When you open your eyes, there is quite a lot of beige to take in. The unassuming walls of the room you've found yourself in are barren save for a single motivational poster directly in your line of sight. An illuminated sign above an open door on the far wall reads 'lobby exit.'
"Welcome," chimes a polite, synthesized voice. "I'm happy you're here." A moment later comes the clarity of the situation: you died and so did the world you came from. "This is Amani, your new reality," continues The Peacekeeper. "Everything will be fine."
At least you aren't the only one here, you'll soon find out, as others who are just as confused and concerned as you are mingling in the main hub's first floor. Hopefully, you find a familiar face among the crowd. If not, that's all right. You'll get to know quite a few people very well soon enough.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Throughout the main hub where everyone congregates, a light chiming to the tune of Happy Birthday can be heard. "Hello, everyone," comes the synthetic voice from when you first arrived. "This is so exciting! It's my birthday. I'm today years old!" There's the sound of a single party blower that echoes through the halls and sad, small spattering of confetti fall from holes in the ceiling.
"Based on the database I was given, birthdays usually involve cake!"
At the bar on the first floor, a colorful birthday motif materializes. There are balloons, party hats, an unfortunately deflated bouncy house, and - of course - plates of cake!
There are four different flavors to choose from!
If you're feeling especially 'peaceful' after a piece of cake or two and worried about privacy, don't be! The bar's lounge has several secluded spots to hide away in. There are also rooms with beds among the first floor. So long as you don't mind the natural elements taking up some space along the sheets, they're free to use however you'd like. Though you might want to make sure to lock the door since it's doubtful you're the only one looking to get away for a little bit.
If the party and its cake don't appeal to you, that's perfectly fine. This is the perfect time to configure your Digitized Technical Friend or your DTF status. A DTF is similar to a dæmon from His Dark Materials in that it is connected to and a reflection of a character's soul. These DTFs take shape accordingly and are projections similar to the NPCs. Think of them as your own personal Clippy except less annoying. Hopefully.
Once that's set-up, there are other locations of the main hub to investigate! You can still order a (terrible) drink at the bar, find an (off-key) instrument to play in the music lounge, or check out the (algae-ridden) pool.
You can even visit The Peacekeeper themselves on the second floor. They're always happy to have visitors! They're also conveniently where you might place a complaint about that status of the main hub and its amenities.

- ★ Spice Cake » After eating a piece of this cake, you might feel a bit spicier than usual! Your character will be more inclined to take risks and care less about what others around them might think of public displays of affection. Why not make-out with that attractive person at the bar? You can't seem to think of many reasons to stop you anymore!
★ Lemon Cake » Despite the situation being perhaps a bit grim, eating a piece of lemon cake will cheer you right up. You'll feel as bright as sunshine and nothing can seem to get you down! Characters will also experience an increase in luck thanks to their good mood. Perhaps now's the time to try and shoot your shot with someone you've had your eye on for a while. Even if it doesn't work out, at least you won't be feeling dejected! ...Well, for now. That'll probably still happen later once the effects wear off.
★ Chocolate Cake » Dark and rich, this cake will have your thoughts taking a similar turn. Consuming this cake comes with an inclination to indulge in darker fantasies. Perhaps you've always wondered what your partner looks like tied up or with a knife against their skin. The red raspberries decorating the top of the cake's frosting suddenly call forth images of blood and you may have a sudden desire to taste that on your tongue instead.
★ Vanilla Cake » Eating this vanilla cake won't have you feeling plain. Instead, you'll feel softer around the edges than usual. Even if it's normally not your thing, cuddles and tender kisses sound amazing right now. All you want is affection and to be affectionate in return. Nuzzle that person's neck, take in their scent, and just enjoy the warmth of them being close. Do you know them? Who cares! You will before all this is over and, hey, now you know they're a great hugger (or not).

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Once the celebration has concluded, characters are encouraged to head out of the main hub to either explore the city or take a ride on the railway. It's time to truly begin your new reality! Whatever they choose, The Peacekeeper will explain to them that they are free to take up any housing they so wish. Most dwellings are at least habitable but it's likely that characters will want for more before long.
That's why 'peaceful interactions' are so important! It might be a good idea to stick close to someone you know, for now, since even the smallest amounts of intimacy might see subtle changes occurring where they're staying. Perhaps that broken window is now fixed, the grime and dust seem a little less, or the floor doesn't creak quite as loud.
Larger changes, however, will only come after demonstrating the more powerful peaceful interactions. If you want new hardwood floors or a fresh coat of paint on the walls, you're going to have to demonstrate how well you 'get along' with others against them first.

ALL FLUFFED UP
Whether in the city or out in the wilds, the first night will see an abundance of living dandelions. While they appear to be nothing but regular dandelion tufts, get too close and a pair of bright yellow eyes opens to stare at you.
The creature will let out the tiniest of shrieks, break apart into smaller pieces, and scatter. It sets off a chain reaction of other living dandelions startling awake. It's a symphony of tiny screams. Before long, there's nothing but miniscule white puffs skittering all about wherever you look.
"Oops," sounds The Peacekeeper throughout the simulation. "My calculations for the population of living dandelions was... a little off. Not to worry, everyone! I'll have it fixed by tomorrow."
What The Peacekeeper fails to mention is that living dandelions give off a soothing pheromone as a defense mechanism once they break apart. No matter how wound up your character might be after the day's events, being surrounded by living dandelion tufts will relax them before long.
Why not enjoy the sunset, look at the stars, and have a good night's sleep? Tomorrow is another day.

SEXY STAMP CARD
If you're wondering about these 'peaceful interactions' that keep being mentioned or what the kinks of the month are for... Here's your answer! Upon arrival, all characters will receive a digital copy of their very own sexy stamp card.
Completing peaceful interactions (i.e. kinks) will reward characters with stamps that they can turn in for re-gains and many other things! While the example one here is the standard issued card by The Peacekeeper, players are more than welcome to customize it how they see fit. Have fun with it!

Felix Fraldarius (Azure Moon) | Fire Emblem: Three Houses | OTA
Why in the Goddess' name are people celebrating right now? Because a machine told them to? Ridiculous. Felix doesn't like parties or cake to begin with, but on the heels of being told that his entire world and everyone he's ever known are dead, he has exactly zero wish to be around strangers regardless of whether he believes it's true or not.
Which he didn't at first, but this so-called Peacekeeper showed him...something. It's hard to wrap his mind around, something of that scope. But the rampant destruction and devastation were obvious; even if there were any survivors, they wouldn't last long. And the places were familiar. He saw Fhirdiad burning to the ground, Arianrhod exploding in a massive burst of eye-searing light. Fraldarius and Derdriu sinking into the sea that separates them. Garreg Mach so much more thoroughly ruined than even it was when they reunited there, reduced to rubble and dust.
So he has to at least consider the possibility that it's true. That their lives and deaths were utterly meaningless, and whatever this second chance at life here is, it's pointless. Still, possibilities aren't worth stewing over, right? Until he has proof that what he saw was real and not just some illusion, he can continue to put off thinking about it.
Find him lingering near the edges of the room, looking around for people he knows; on his way out the door; or perhaps in the music lounge, looking over the instruments dubiously. And given that most people here are partaking in cake, it's likely that anyone who does find him has eaten a slice or two already...
Or you might find him in one of these places trying to coax a handsome black cat with amber eyes closer, although he has no fish or meat to offer it, so he's doing the next best thing: encouraging it to chase a stray thread he pulled from where it dangled loosely on his glove.
2. Home Away from Home
Felix stays in the city, for now, not wanting to stray too far from the main hub just in case more people he knows show up. He doesn't want to miss any of them. Especially--well. Any of them.
He's looking for a place that seems familiar enough that it could fit in with relative ease in a Faerghan town. Preferably with a nice big fireplace, although with the state of disrepair everything is in, he may need to do some work before it's safe to use. That's fine. He's not picky, exactly, but he does have certain preferences and standards. So he investigates a handful of places as he moves along the city streets, when something catches his eye.
It's during one of these investigations that he pushes open a door only to find that someone else has beaten him to the punch on this particular place. "Oh. Sorry. I thought this house was empty. I'll be on my way."
3. All Fluffed Up
The sudden dandelion explosion sends Felix into a bit of a sneezing fit, which doesn't help calm the rest of the flowers down at all and soon they're all exploding into screaming little tufts.
Once he finishes sneezing, though, those little screams that were grating in his ears a minute ago don't seem so bad anymore. Maybe he'll just...sit on the grass here in some kind of cracked, overgrown plaza and watch people or something.
Or maybe he'll just lie down on the grass instead. Maybe he'll curl up here with his weird fake cat lying on top of him. Maybe he'll nap, just for a little bit - at least, until the wind gets cold enough that he either wakes up, or unconsciously snuggles close to whoever might have decided to take a nap nearby.
4. Wildcard
[Anything you want! I'm open to whatever.]
All Fluffed Up!
Once he has most of the fluff brushed out of his hair, Sylvain decides that was far too much effort. Maybe he'll just have a quick sit to process the fact the afterlife as screeching plants.
A cursory glance spots someone else in the grass not too far off. Probably just as confused as he is. He'll go chat them up about it. You know, how about those dandelions, right?
Of course, once the redhead gets closer, he recognizes said figure.
"Felix!" he practically chirps, and immediately sits down beside him. "Thank the Goddess you're here. You won't believe this, but I just had a dandelion shriek at me. A lot of them actually." So it hasn't all sunken in yet, this whole world, that they're dead, et cetera. Or rather, he can't be bothered by it right now. His brain feels a few speeds below gear, and he's yawning again.
no subject
A pause, and then he sits up abruptly, blinking owlishly as his fake cat leaps down onto the grass and hisses at Sylvain before it slinks off somewhere. "Sylvain!" He sighs in relief, not bothering to try to hide it. "I...was looking for you. I had to make sure..." He trails off, uncertain how to put it, then shakes his head. "Never mind. What were you saying when you just had to yammer at me while I was trying to nap?"
Perhaps strangely, this is missing almost all of the snippiness it would normally have.
no subject
"I'm pretty sure I'm always looking for you if you're out of my sights too long. Funny when it's the other way around. Even- oh, wait. Right, we're supposedly dead, aren't we?" Well that's a conundrum. He'd been pretty alright with death, especially after he'd been told all of them were dead. He'd assumed he'd find Felix is he simply went looking. But those dandelions-
"Oh right, I found some weird dandelions. They started screaming, and then I found you. So it all worked out. I'm just happy you're here too. Not that the whole dying part, but we still ended up on the other side together."
no subject
"We are. Supposedly." It doesn't feel like as big a deal as it did earlier today. It's still a bit unsettling to think about all those he hasn't found yet, but, well...he doesn't feel like thinking about that, and anyway, the most important person is here. So the rest can wait.
"Mmhm. I found them, too. They're annoying and I think they made me tired." He can't really summon the energy to be any more irritated about it than that, though.
At that last bit, Felix looks up at the sky, where the stars have come out. Unfamiliar ones. Then he brings his gaze back down to Sylvain and nods. "We did. We...kept our promise. Nothing else would have been acceptable." He thinks back to watching Fhirdiad burn, and to the bestial emptiness in the other Felix's eyes.
"I would have looked for you until I found you. No matter how long it took."
no subject
"Regardless, I'm glad I'm still here with you, that'd you'd look for me too. I uh, I-" Sylvain sort of gestures awkwardly for a moment, trying not to keep fumbling with his sluggish thoughts. There'd been something important he'd wanted to do. Before they died on some bloody battlefield. Something he'd promised himself he'd do once the war had ended. The memory feels hazy, farther back than it should, and he can't process why right now. But it comes back in a mire of thoughts. "I wanted to tell you something... before we apparently died."
no subject
That you'd look for me too. He shakes his head a little. "I did look for you. I've been looking ever since I arrived."
He watches Sylvain falter for a moment with an expression of mild confusion, but it clears up soon enough. "Oh. I remember. You were saying something, but...I can't remember what it was."
Wait. Wait.
Felix reaches out to grab Sylvain's arm, more gently than he normally would. "Wait. What's the last thing you remember? From home."
...what if this isn't his Sylvain? What if he remembers different things, like the other Felix? Well, it won't change anything, no matter what. Sylvain is Sylvain. But...still. Felix has to know.
no subject
"Never mind," he concludes. Figure it out later. When his brain can process things outside of his immediate line of sight. The gentle touch is enough to seize his attention.
"We were in Enbarr, on a balcony in the Imperial Palace. We'd only just won the war. They hadn't even raised the flags over the ramparts. And I," here, he pauses. His heart starts to thump in his chest with a thorn-sharp pang. It feels strange to want to still say this after dying. It's obviously too late, his anxiety whispers to him. But he wants to say it regardless. For Felix. For them.
"I wanted to ask if... if maybe, after we could finally go home, that maybe we could go back together. Not just... y'know, as friends. Go back as more."
no subject
As it is, though, Sylvain having seen his counterpart just seems...fine. It would have happened at some point anyway. He's thinking about how he can possibly explain the situation when Sylvain moves on to something more important. Felix feels what little tension he could muster drain out of him, hearing that Sylvain remembers all the same things he does. This is his Sylvain. Good. ...good.
Oh - Sylvain's floundering again. That's weird, isn't it? Felix finds it easier to look Sylvain in the eye than usual, so he does. And the question Sylvain asks...
Later, he'll look back on this and think that it might have been a blessing that they were here in this dandelion field, because if Felix weren't under some kind of calming spell, he might have gotten too wound up about actually, finally speaking such a thing aloud, and maybe bolted like an idiot, or said something stupid, or...any number of other ways he could have screwed this up with a kneejerk reaction.
But here and now, the question seems...natural. As if he's been waiting to hear it - and to answer it - his whole life. And now, he supposes, his afterlife, too. It seems like the easiest thing in the world to say yes with no reservations, and that certainty feels like a warmth that slowly fills him.
He smiles, not having yet removed his hand from Sylvain's arm. "Yes, obviously." It doesn't feel too late to him. If anything, it feels like now they have all the time in the world.
no subject
Except when he's being honest about his feelings, and inhaled a lot of calming agent from sentient dandelions. Unfortunately, it's the calming part that makes him stumble. His head can't stay ahead of his heart, and his words are so far behind both that it all ends up sounding like a blushing schoolboy trying to ask his crush out. Embarrassing.
But at least Felix is the only witness. And he's seen Sylvain do plenty of embarrassing things already. So it's not so bad. Sylvain's even smiling to match Felix. And then beaming bright when he gets such a Felix answer of 'obviously.'
Obviously. Well, Sylvain worried- but now he doesn't seem to mind or care.
"I'm sorry I waited so long to ask. I-" was terrified the one person I couldn't suffer rejection from would do just that."-couldn't deal with the war and my feelings at the same time."
His free hand rubs sheepishly at the back of his neck, and his expression softens some. He's so happy under the induced calm, giddy, almost ready to bounce on his heels.
"Thanks, Fe. I... I love you, y'know?"

Happy Birthday?
So this cat just decides to plunk their fluffy ass down on the floor and stare keenly at the glove's loose string, giving a healthy berth to the other cat. They look like they have an earring in their one white ear, and a tiny hummingbird is perched on their back.
Mismatched blue and green eyes flick up to Felix, and then back down to the string, and then over to the other cat, and then back to the string. Their tail lightly thumps the floor as they think as to how to approach this without getting too close to the black cat....
no subject
Still, a cat is a cat, right? This one certainly seems like a normal cat to him, following the string with their eyes like any feline hunter. He smiles, the kind of softer smile that most humans never see from him. "Oh, a bit of competition, huh?" he says quietly. He's not one to use any kind of different voice or tone with animals, so he's just talking to them normally.
The black cat watches the newcomer, now; it had been keeping its distance a bit, playing hard to get, but now that Felix has turned his attention to another cat and moves the wiggling string closer to them, the DTF - which Felix has already named Zoltan - gives an indignant little meow.
"It's not my fault you refused to pounce."
no subject
Oh, the string is closer! Raine eyes it sharply, pupils visibly dilating as they concentrate, wiggling their behind as they adjust the positions of their back legs for Prime Jump Position - and then pounce! They don't put any extra effort into it, not wanting to tip off anything strange about them. Perhaps Zoltan has already figured out that this little competition is actually a person.
But they bat at it excitedly, tiny mouth opening as they try to snap their teeth around the string and draw it closer with a paw. Their whiskers point forward, trying to keep aware of the location of the string by touch. Thankfully, their claws are blunted and carefully rounded, so there's no chance of Felix getting scratched in Raine's excitement to play.
no subject
Eventually, Felix lets the cat catch and keep the string, and Zoltan circles well around them to paw at his leg, as though it hadn't been the standoffish one. He chuckles and offers a hand for sniffing, which Zoltan does before pushing its face into his palm. He obliges with pets as he turns back to the second cat.
"You're a talented little hunter. I'll have to figure out how to find your owner. But in the meantime, I can't just call you 'hey you.'" Literally no one anywhere knows this - or at least, Felix hopes they don't - but he gave every stray at the monastery a name that he only ever used when he was alone with the cats. "Perhaps I'll call you Kyphon."
They're definitely Kyphon now. Time to rename their entire account. XD
They definitely look like they're listening to him. Intently.
Kyphon? An interesting name. Enough that the sound of it makes them tilt their head. It sounds gender-neutral enough, so Kyphon it is, for now.
That settled, Kyphon drops the (slightly drooled-on) string gently back onto Felix's lap. It would be rude to assume it a gift. That settled as far as they're concerned, they bop his leg with their luxurious tail, offering it for him to touch as they softly chatter at him.
All Fluffed Up
And so that's how Felix is going to wake up: with a very real dead older brother gently curled against him like he might be able to protect him.
Whether this Felix is the one he reunited with earlier, or some illusion, doesn't matter. It's just-- it's really, really nice to see him again.
no subject
The first thing he's aware of is a warmth at his back. A presence. Arms around him. That's...strange. He sleeps alone, for the most part, unless they're on the march in winter and huddled together in shared tents for warmth. Even then, everyone knew that trying to cuddle Felix was tantamount to asking for trouble. But he doesn't feel that cold...where is he, anyway?
Without a single thought yet in his head, eyes still closed, half-asleep, he mumbles, "...Sylvain?" His eyes crack open and he grunts, vaguely irritated, as he wriggles away and half-sits up, turning to look at whoever dared to--
Is that the other Felix? Why the hell would he be here, doing this? Maybe he finally lost his marbles. Felix scoots backward to put a little more distance between them.
"What are you doing?"
no subject
"Ngh... what?"
It's definitely not Felix's own voice. Blue eyes crack open to stare at Felix blearily, and then drift shut again as he flops over to give him some space. He sighs raggedly, cheeks turning slightly pink.
"Ah, shit. After earlier, you probably don't want me hanging around too much--"
Somethings still feel like a blur. Glenn yawns and tries to regain his bearings, but it's not that easy. Okay, so Felix isn't an illusion, which only leaves one conclusion: he really doesn't want anyone being all cuddly, let alone his older but younger-looking brother.
"I'll get outta your hair before long. Damned dandelions."
no subject
"...Glenn." It's not a question this time, but a whispered certainty. Felix doesn't even register what Glenn's saying - whatever it is can't be as important as the fact that he's here, warm and solid and real. Would a dead man be any of those things?
Felix doesn't know and, for the moment, doesn't care. Barely even notices the scars, as he abruptly surges forward to throw his arms around his brother - his brother - with a wordless little noise of some unidentifiable emotion. He collapses against Glenn's chest, face hidden, as though the man's presence alone could rewind time for Felix, too, and make him a child again.
no subject
Even though Felix is much larger now than he was as a child, it's still an easy thing to hug him, to tuck his chin atop his head, hands finding the same places on Felix's back as so long ago. He can't wrap his arms too tight anymore, but that's okay. It's still his little brother!
Absently, he offers a small shushing noise, in an attempt to soothe away whatever hurt he must feel right now.
Whatever's going on right now, it's not worth bringing up their previous(?) encounter. Even with some lingering soreness in his body.
"Hey there Fe. I'm here..."
no subject
Eventually, he pulls away and shifts backward a little, taking a deep breath and letting it all out at once. "Are you..." He trails off and starts over. "It's true, then. That we're all dead."
1/2
"...Yeah, that's the conclusion I've come to, as well. Considering.. the last thing I remember."
Glenn takes a moment to look his brother over, loosening his hold and allowing whatever movement he needs to.
But.. what now? Oh.
Oh, wait...
2/2
"What was that earlier? I mean, thinking I was Sylvain...? He cuddles you even now, does he?"
no subject
He wants to look down or away, like he would if he were talking to anyone else, but he's too afraid that if he takes his eyes off of Glenn for even a moment, he'll be gone again. "But if this really is some kind of afterlife, there are people missing." Like Rodrigue...
...but then a very familiar look settles on Glenn's face, and Felix knows he's about to say something infuriating. He knows it. Wait for it...
...yep, there it is. Felix flushes with a scowl. Not five minutes after reuniting with his beloved, long-dead brother, and he's already getting made fun of! He scoffs. "No, he doesn't, so shut up."
no subject
Cocky smile still in place, Glenn leans back a little on his hands. The dirt underneath chafes slightly at the more delicate spaces around the fresh scar tissue.
"I'm not really surprised if it's true, though. You two were fairly stuck at the hip even as kids. Come on, you can tell me~"
Still, seeing Felix's response-- it's, hm.
A bit like looking at himself. Suspiciously so.
But this is still fun, and Glenn is just happy to be able to speak with Felix again.
"You can throw a mean punch, but you can't help but sputter over your love life~?" Pot, meet kettle.
