Welcome! Everything is fine.
Uploading. . . Complete!
When you open your eyes, there is quite a lot of beige to take in. The unassuming walls of the room you've found yourself in are barren save for a single motivational poster directly in your line of sight. An illuminated sign above an open door on the far wall reads 'lobby exit.'
"Welcome," chimes a polite, synthesized voice. "I'm happy you're here." A moment later comes the clarity of the situation: you died and so did the world you came from. "This is Amani, your new reality," continues The Peacekeeper. "Everything will be fine."
At least you aren't the only one here, you'll soon find out, as others who are just as confused and concerned as you are mingling in the main hub's first floor. Hopefully, you find a familiar face among the crowd. If not, that's all right. You'll get to know quite a few people very well soon enough.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Throughout the main hub where everyone congregates, a light chiming to the tune of Happy Birthday can be heard. "Hello, everyone," comes the synthetic voice from when you first arrived. "This is so exciting! It's my birthday. I'm today years old!" There's the sound of a single party blower that echoes through the halls and sad, small spattering of confetti fall from holes in the ceiling.
"Based on the database I was given, birthdays usually involve cake!"
At the bar on the first floor, a colorful birthday motif materializes. There are balloons, party hats, an unfortunately deflated bouncy house, and - of course - plates of cake!
There are four different flavors to choose from!
If you're feeling especially 'peaceful' after a piece of cake or two and worried about privacy, don't be! The bar's lounge has several secluded spots to hide away in. There are also rooms with beds among the first floor. So long as you don't mind the natural elements taking up some space along the sheets, they're free to use however you'd like. Though you might want to make sure to lock the door since it's doubtful you're the only one looking to get away for a little bit.
If the party and its cake don't appeal to you, that's perfectly fine. This is the perfect time to configure your Digitized Technical Friend or your DTF status. A DTF is similar to a dæmon from His Dark Materials in that it is connected to and a reflection of a character's soul. These DTFs take shape accordingly and are projections similar to the NPCs. Think of them as your own personal Clippy except less annoying. Hopefully.
Once that's set-up, there are other locations of the main hub to investigate! You can still order a (terrible) drink at the bar, find an (off-key) instrument to play in the music lounge, or check out the (algae-ridden) pool.
You can even visit The Peacekeeper themselves on the second floor. They're always happy to have visitors! They're also conveniently where you might place a complaint about that status of the main hub and its amenities.

- ★ Spice Cake » After eating a piece of this cake, you might feel a bit spicier than usual! Your character will be more inclined to take risks and care less about what others around them might think of public displays of affection. Why not make-out with that attractive person at the bar? You can't seem to think of many reasons to stop you anymore!
★ Lemon Cake » Despite the situation being perhaps a bit grim, eating a piece of lemon cake will cheer you right up. You'll feel as bright as sunshine and nothing can seem to get you down! Characters will also experience an increase in luck thanks to their good mood. Perhaps now's the time to try and shoot your shot with someone you've had your eye on for a while. Even if it doesn't work out, at least you won't be feeling dejected! ...Well, for now. That'll probably still happen later once the effects wear off.
★ Chocolate Cake » Dark and rich, this cake will have your thoughts taking a similar turn. Consuming this cake comes with an inclination to indulge in darker fantasies. Perhaps you've always wondered what your partner looks like tied up or with a knife against their skin. The red raspberries decorating the top of the cake's frosting suddenly call forth images of blood and you may have a sudden desire to taste that on your tongue instead.
★ Vanilla Cake » Eating this vanilla cake won't have you feeling plain. Instead, you'll feel softer around the edges than usual. Even if it's normally not your thing, cuddles and tender kisses sound amazing right now. All you want is affection and to be affectionate in return. Nuzzle that person's neck, take in their scent, and just enjoy the warmth of them being close. Do you know them? Who cares! You will before all this is over and, hey, now you know they're a great hugger (or not).

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Once the celebration has concluded, characters are encouraged to head out of the main hub to either explore the city or take a ride on the railway. It's time to truly begin your new reality! Whatever they choose, The Peacekeeper will explain to them that they are free to take up any housing they so wish. Most dwellings are at least habitable but it's likely that characters will want for more before long.
That's why 'peaceful interactions' are so important! It might be a good idea to stick close to someone you know, for now, since even the smallest amounts of intimacy might see subtle changes occurring where they're staying. Perhaps that broken window is now fixed, the grime and dust seem a little less, or the floor doesn't creak quite as loud.
Larger changes, however, will only come after demonstrating the more powerful peaceful interactions. If you want new hardwood floors or a fresh coat of paint on the walls, you're going to have to demonstrate how well you 'get along' with others against them first.

ALL FLUFFED UP
Whether in the city or out in the wilds, the first night will see an abundance of living dandelions. While they appear to be nothing but regular dandelion tufts, get too close and a pair of bright yellow eyes opens to stare at you.
The creature will let out the tiniest of shrieks, break apart into smaller pieces, and scatter. It sets off a chain reaction of other living dandelions startling awake. It's a symphony of tiny screams. Before long, there's nothing but miniscule white puffs skittering all about wherever you look.
"Oops," sounds The Peacekeeper throughout the simulation. "My calculations for the population of living dandelions was... a little off. Not to worry, everyone! I'll have it fixed by tomorrow."
What The Peacekeeper fails to mention is that living dandelions give off a soothing pheromone as a defense mechanism once they break apart. No matter how wound up your character might be after the day's events, being surrounded by living dandelion tufts will relax them before long.
Why not enjoy the sunset, look at the stars, and have a good night's sleep? Tomorrow is another day.

SEXY STAMP CARD
If you're wondering about these 'peaceful interactions' that keep being mentioned or what the kinks of the month are for... Here's your answer! Upon arrival, all characters will receive a digital copy of their very own sexy stamp card.
Completing peaceful interactions (i.e. kinks) will reward characters with stamps that they can turn in for re-gains and many other things! While the example one here is the standard issued card by The Peacekeeper, players are more than welcome to customize it how they see fit. Have fun with it!

Felix Hugo Fraldarius | Fire Emblem: Three Houses | OTA
No thanks. There's no way I can swallow any of that down.
[Which is too bad, because he's pretty hungry, but cake is the only food he's seen so far. It looks so sugary, he's sure he'll just feel sick if he tries to fill up on it. His stomach rumbles...]
...What am I even doing here?
[He looks around at the colorful party atmosphere as if noticing it for the first time. Confetti falls in his long hair, which he bats at ineffectually. He sees other people sneaking off, mostly in pairs, and decides to sneak off as well, heading towards a secluded spot alone.]
-HOME AWAY FROM HOME-
[He doesn't plan on staying in one spot for too long, but finding temporary shelter is better than standing around outside. Felix finds a little place littered with broken glass, but if he kicks enough of it around with his boot he can clear a spot.]
[He's doing that when he hears something other than the clatter of glass behind him, and then he's immediately alert. He's without a sword, so he grabs a piece of glass as big as his hand as he turns.]
Who's here? Show yourself!
-ALL FLUFFED UP-
[The spirit resists but the body is willing. Felix doesn't want to rest. Not here, not now, not without a weapon at hand, and probably not ever. But his body is is so, so weary, and the push into relaxation affects him like the snapping of a taut cord. His breath leaves him in a groan and he collapses, falling onto his back, limbs splayed, additional dandelion creatures flung up in puffs from the grass upon impact.]
Ugh... damn it... I can't raise a finger...
[Staring straight upward with half-lidded eyes, his voice is dulled. At least he's too mellowed now to be mad about it. Just... annoyed.]
home!!
Or, at least, to this Felix it is. He thought he had caught a glimpse of his friend leaving the main hub. And he was right- Sort of. The splinter of glass pointed at him sees Dimitri raising his hands in alarm; he doesn't mean any harm. ]
It is you, [ he says, relief clear in his tone but brows still furrowed at that glass leveled at him. ] I wasn't sure if you'd made it.
no subject
[He doesn't say anything, but his eyes are wide in shock and he lowers the glass shard. Dimitri, appearing whole before him, not bashed and torn by Edelgard's axe, not dead in a puddle of bloody mud? He looks so real and alive.]
[This only confirms that he's become a beast like the Boar. Now, like him, he's seeing the dead. He has to clench his jaw not to speak to the dead, too. His vision wavers, feeling sick with shock and terrible emotions, and he turns away from this hallucination to dispel it, putting a shaking hand over his forehead.]
[He's still not convinced that this actually is the land of the dead he's in, but that's starting to sound like a smaller possibility as well.]
no subject
When his friend looks at him like he's specter himself, there's a pang of hurt through him. He recognizes that gaze; he knows too well that shock, then turning away from your vision to try and dispel it. He just never thought he'd be on the receiving end of it all. ]
Felix... [ His arms lower and he strides forward. ] My friend. I am here.
no subject
Stop it... shut up and disappear. You're not him. The Boar is dead.

Happy birthday...
So he's found himself a nice, secluded little place near the back of the bar, where hopefully no one will come stumbling in drunk or anything like that. Is a bit of peace and quiet too much to ask?
...the answer appears to be yes, because he hears footsteps coming close only a few minutes later. With an aggrieved sigh, he looks up at whoever it is barging in on his
broodingsolitude.]Go away. Find your own place to--
[He chokes on the words as he stares at the newcomer, wide-eyed. That...it can't be...no, it can. They're all dead, now, according to that machine. There's no reason not to expect it, he just...didn't think about it. He really wishes he had, instead of letting himself be caught off-guard by it.
He wasn't prepared to run into Glenn, and nothing else comes out of his mouth.]
no subject
[He's seeing things, no different than the Boar. Now they've both imagined Glenn's ghost haunting them. He's truly become a beast. He knew it all this time. He shuts his eyes tight for a moment.]
[Wait, did Glenn tell him to go away? That didn't sound right. He opens his eyes again, and the vision is still there. Now he sees that this more resembles what he's seen in mirrors. Damn it... he was always told he was growing up looking like Glenn, but he didn't want to listen.]
What? ...You're not... who are you? Is this supposed to be a joke or a spell?
no subject
I could ask you the same. I'm Felix Hugo Fraldarius. And you're...impossible.
no subject
[He scowls, feeling anger rise up like a physical thing in his throat.]
Why would you even want to be me? I have nothing, no house or title, not even family or friends to benefit from.

Home Away From Home
What does shock him is who it belongs to. Because Sylvain knows it anywhere, across any time or place.
"Felix!" He chirps, immediately whirling around to try to locate the source. He shouldn't be so chipper, it means Felix would be dead too. But to him, that's comforting. He and Felix were always destined to go together, after all.
Sylvain climbs over a small partition of rocks blocking off the next room, and slides down. His eyes are bright, and his smile brighter when he comes into Felix's view.
But something isn't right.
Sylvain stares for a long moment. It's Felix, yes. But something is off. Something feels... wrong. Horribly, terribly, heart-crushingly wrong. And he doesn't know what. It gets his pulse high, and his shoulders tight with tension.
"Felix...?"
no subject
[He thought the vision of Dimitri meant he was broken. But it's really the one of Sylvain that breaks him.]
[His eyes go unfocused, seeing things that aren't really there. Blood all over the front of Sylvain's body, pouring from his mouth and the slash on his neck. His own side throbs hot pain as if gashed by the lance again. His skin feels cold from the rain of that day.]
[Felix had watched Dimitri die, but Sylvain... he had cut down in battle himself. Felix had steeled himself for it for it, had continued walking his own path with numb legs, and held aside the grief and regret with swings of his sword. But now he had no sword, only this vision, and the sorrow surges on him so fast that tears are now streaming down his face. He was supposed to die with him, he promised. He's been trying to die ever since. But he couldn't fall. All his battles were won. He's left Sylvain alone all this time.]
I'm sorry, Sylvain... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to take so long.
[Felix's eyes shut while he sobs silently. He's held back his tears the whole war and now he can't stop crying. His grip on the glass shard had tightened, bloodying his palm. He now raises it to his own neck.]
no subject
He'll never stop.
Sylvain barrels into him with all the force of someone his size can, which is to say, a lot. He hits like a stampeding horse, hand reaching for Felix's to force it away from his throat. Or pry the glass from it. It's hard to tell what he manages in the scramble to disarm him.
"Don't you dare-" he gasps out, voice choked in his throat. What happened to Felix? What happened to them. He hadn't wanted to know how the world had ended from Peacekeeper. It meant they'd all gone together, and that mattered more than knowing. But this? What did the world do to his Felix? "Don't you dare leave me like this."
no subject
I know, I won't leave you, I promised... I won't ever leave you alone. I can't. You should have killed me, too.

Home
Tch, calm down. I heard clattering, and....
[Focusing on the other person's face, Glenn frowns, hesitates. That clothing style-- but, furthermore, that dark hair, those eyes-- That's--
[...It can't be. It takes everything in him to not gape like a fish, staring keenly at Felix in visible confusion.]
no subject
[Felix drops the glass, shattering it. He shakes his head, clutching his forehead. Why is he still seeing him? Why does he look so real?]
Damn it... I don't want to be seeing things like this...!
no subject
Yeah? Well, too bad, you're seeing me, Fe.
[There's no bite behind the words, though. And without the glass in his brother's hand, Glenn feels confident enough to approach, expression warm despite the sass.]
I'm as real as you are. Glad to see I'm still recognizable to you.
[With all the scars he has from, well, dying a horrific death, there had been a faint, nervous niggling in the back of his mind.]
Spar with me if you doubt your senses.
no subject
[Those lethal scars only confirm to Felix that he's gone crazy. He watches in alarm as the vision draws closer. He's frozen in horror and grief, but something snaps in him at the familiar invitation to spar.]
Damn it... fine!
[He jolts forward to meet him, swinging a fist at this hallucination of his brother. He expects he'll swipe through nothing, or break his hand on some surface behind the vision.]

Birthday
Just as Felix reaches the door frame, Niles sidles up along the wall and shoots an arm out to block his path, looming over and leaning down close to the scowling, frustrated man.]
Whoa there sourpuss, leaving already? What's the matter, party not up to your standards?

Whatever you want, I'm not interested. Go away.

[Dedue takes having a piece of broken glass pointed at him with ironclad stoicism.]
I am not hiding myself. [As though he could. His frame fills entire doorways; one has to almost intentionally try not to spot him in such circumstances.]
I apologize for alarming you, Felix. [He has to duck to walk through the door. Few of the buildings have doorways that are actually tall enough to accommodate him without bending.] Please be careful with the glass.
[Considering that there are few medical supplies available, it would be disastrous for someone to get seriously cut.]
no subject
[He jerks the glass point in his direction from a distance like he's pointing a finger at him. Not very careful.]
You were a monster... I saw it happen. You were a beast and you were put down! How are you human again?
no subject
[You know, the part of their relationship where Felix would call him a dog and Dedue had to stoically endure it because it would be unseemly for His Majesty's vassal to seize the Duke of Fraldarius and hurl him into the pond. Doesn't mean that he doesn't get the urge still sometimes when Felix is being particularly ornery, but Dedue, unlike other men, possesses an abundance of self-control. And those bouts of temptation had become less after he and Felix had reached a kind of mutual understanding about each other. Perhaps the stress of being in this strange new place is causing Felix to backslide into old habits.]
I suppose 'monster' is at least a new insult, for you. [He sighs. He's not upset, he's just disappointed.] In what way has my presence slighted you now, Felix?
no subject
[He steps back, trying to sort out his confusion. He keeps holding onto the glass because he's not sure if they should be fighting or not. They last met as opponents in war.]
