The End is Never The End { Permaplay Post }
Welcome! Everything is fine.
Uploading. . . Complete!
The Lobby.
- When you open your eyes, there is quite a lot of beige to take in. The unassuming walls of the room you've found yourself in are barren save for a single motivational poster directly in your line of sight. An illuminated sign above an open door on the far wall reads 'lobby exit.'
"Welcome," chimes a polite, synthesized voice. "I'm happy you're here." A moment later comes the clarity of the situation: you have died and so has the world you came from. "This is Amani, a safe haven until your world is restored," continues The Peacekeeper. "Everything will be fine." It will then explain the happenings of the last few years that led them to this point. Don't worry if you don't get everything or tune out. It is quite a lot!
At least you aren't the only one here, you'll soon find out, as others who are just as confused and concerned as you are might be mingling on the main hub's first floor. Hopefully, you find a familiar face among the crowd. If not, that's all right. You'll get to know quite a few people very well soon enough.
- If you're one of the unlucky few whose death required a bit more intensive re-coding to maintain stability in the simulation, you'll instead awaken on a bed in the infirmary. Everything is strikingly white save for the occasional string of vines with lavender growing in bursts to help keep people calm. Whether or not it works seems to be on a case-by-case basis.
While there is active medical staff, the voice of The Peacekeeper is also there to explain the situation in a more delicate manner to these individuals. It's already stressful enough having to have gone through such a violent death, after all!
If characters want more questions answered, they'll need to speak to The Peacekeeper or Janis directly. But first, it will encourage socialization in the main hub and hopefully, you'll find someone you recognize to make taking things in a little easier.
WHAT
Amani's Permaplay Post for Endgame
WHEN
December 31st, 2024 (and into infinity)
THINGS TO NOTE
★ Kinks of the month are now free-for-all / choose your own!
★ This post and Amani's setting is OPEN TO ALL though to play more privately, you can join the communities. Think of it as a structured musebox!

WHAT'S YOUR DTF STATUS?
If the main hub and its features don't appeal to you, that's completely fine. This is the perfect time to configure your Digitized Technical Friend or your DTF status. A DTF is similar to a dæmon from His Dark Materials in that it is connected to and a reflection of a character's soul. These DTFs take shape accordingly and are projections similar to the NPCs. Think of them as your own personal Clippy except less annoying. Hopefully.
Once that's set-up, there are other locations of the main hub to investigate! You can visit the training grounds, music lounge, library, and onsen. Also, feel free to leave an offering for the deity of sleep (Hypnos) at his shrine!
You can even visit The Peacekeeper themselves on the second floor. They're always happy to have visitors! They're also conveniently where you might place a complaint about anything. They'll give you service with a (digital) smile though. Despite the temporary status of your stay, The Peacekeeper will encourage new inhabitants to set off and find their own place to live out in the simulation.
Granted, the housing market in the afterlife isn't exactly robust. It doesn't help that nearly every place you find has a leaky roof or broken window. No, unfortunately, that will need to be fixed the peaceful way. If you'd like more lighting or even cozier clothes, simulation inhabitants are reminded that 'peaceful interactions' are very important!
It might be a good idea to stick close to someone you know, for now, since even the smallest amounts of intimacy might see subtle changes occurring where they're staying. Perhaps that broken window is now fixed, the grime and dust seem a little less, or the floor doesn't creak quite as loud.
Larger changes, however, will only come after demonstrating more powerful peaceful interactions. If you want new hardwood floors or a fresh coat of paint on the walls, you're going to have to demonstrate how well you 'get along' with others against them first.

AN END & A BEGINNING
If you'd like to speak to who is really in charge instead of The Peacekeeper, it will point you upward to the highest floor of the main hub. The Life Tree there - now tethered to Makmur's main hub rooftop rather than the forest - serves as a connection point between Amani the simulation and Amani the newly born reality.
This in-between is where characters 'true' souls are being held and protected by the recently formed deity of balance, Janis, and can be connected to the other versions of themselves anywhere in the multiverse. Although your origin world might not be restored just yet, it could be fun to see what other possibilities are out there!
The 'true' souls that are sheltered in Amani will be given the power granted to them by Janis to peer into other versions of themselves as well as the capability to even temporarily hijack their bodies as they wish. They will be the seeds of chaos planted in soil of order by doing this and therefore do their part to ensure balance throughout the multiverse. This balance is what will help bring your origin world back as well!
This way, everyone can eventually return home to see things through and even watch over other realities as they wish to see how they're going... and always have Amani to return back to if they need a reprieve! They can also freely go between Amani the reality where things are more stable and orderly or enjoy the chaotic creativity the freedom of the Amani simulation.
As a physical world, Amani will rest in a freshly forming galaxy alongside the planets of Hiromitsu and Sikalina. Characters are free to visit these via teleportation from the main hub, a ferry ride through an enchanted Tori gate off Amani's coast, or just good old-fashioned space travel if they'd like. Sikalina even has now-functioning and fully customizable mechs to jet around in. In the future, other 'restored' worlds will come to join the collection as Janis works with former inhabitants and displaced newcomers to help undo the unnecessary damage their initial split caused.
While Janis' story with Amani has concluded and their powers stabilized now, there are still worlds in flux that may end prematurely and land someone in Amani for the interim. So, there are still stories to be told and adventures to be had so long as people wish to tell them. Not to mention the people choosing to stay rather than return home!
Either way: Amani will always be available and open to anyone who wishes to enjoy it.

THE SEXY COMPENDIUM
Upon arrival to Amani, new inhabitants will be notified almost immediately of the sexy compendium that's uploaded to their DTF! This compendium lists all of the flora, fauna, unique geography, and miscellaneous items in Amani that might be worth looking at.
This database will update with seasonal highlights or places and items that might follow a theme! In light of the theme of new beginnings, the things featured will tie into that.
While established inhabitants already know about all these things, it can't hurt to be reminded of what this simulated (or real!) afterlife has to offer!

- ★ Miniature Cave Golems » Don't be too alarmed if that mossy bundle of rocks starts to move about. Held together and animated by a magic from Janis, these tiny golems 'awaken' when anyone gets close. While golems are usually used for manual labor too large for the average person, these miniature ones are slowly piecing together Amani little by little. They seem to work better if around ambient intimacy so give them a pet or tell them they're doing a good job to see them get a boost.
★ Birthday Cake » Did you know that The Peacekeeper's birthday is soon? Even if you didn't, it's likely that most know what a birthday celebration calls for: Cake! A classic that can be found in the hub at the bar right when character's arrive. They come in four different flavors; Spice, Lemon, Chocolate, and Vanilla! Each having their own fun effect.
★ Mermaids » Near the coral reef in the ocean's shallows, there often swims a mermaid or two. While they were discovered to be linked mentally, they are a collective versus a hiveminded species though their leader Legion does have the ability to watch through their eyes.
A kiss from a mermaid grants one a temporary aquatic adjustment of their own and ability to breathe beneath water temporarily. Though they have the instinct to drown anyone that endangers the reef and the underwater home, prove you mean no harm and they'll leave you be. Unless you venture into the waters at night. During the darkest hours, a separate species of mermaid swims dangerously around the reef. Although it looks like a beautiful maiden from above the waves, below her tail opens up to have a giant maw that catches fish to eat. You would be quite the treat!
★ Stamina Fruit » Every once in a while, fruit off a regular tree will mutate. It's vibrant coloring and strange, curled shape might indicate that it isn't fit for consumption. This couldn't be further from the truth! What you see here is a stamina fruit and will give whoever eats it untold energy. Best find a way to put it to good use.

NOTES
★ Feel free to check out the sexy compendium and also use whatever is listed there as you like! What's mentioned on the TDM are just suggestions and not only what's available! We want interested players to be able to make their own fun with what Amani has to offer and not feel limited to just the prompts provided here.
★ If you have any questions, feedback, or concerns then you can ask them here.
★ Additionally, players can request NPC threads here whether for closure/good-byes or just for fun! (Read: Sol is totally free and single and you finally have your chance, go go go-)
★ You can post your kink connection profiles in this thread for some easy texting icebreaker fun.
★ If you choose to join the communities, you can post your OOC intro here and see who else is available to play with in Amani's setting!
★ As ever and always, thank you to all that made Amani the amazing experience it was as both a moderator and player for the last three years. While sad that it's over, I'm still happy that it happened and the people I got to meet and know along the way. It's meant so much to me, perhaps more than anyone realizes, but as said: All things must end. If you'd like to share some love here for me, the game, or other players then please do!
