Getting everything cleaned, chopped, seared and simmering takes him a while, but before too long he's got the beginnings of a respectable venison stew in the works. It takes hours to cook, and by the time it's finally done and a rich meaty smell is floating down the hallway, Niles has dragged a table into the hallway, draped it in sheets as a makeshift tablecloth and piled it high with bowls and spoons. The smell ought to carry far enough, but Niles wants to make sure the new arrivals know there's options. While he's been searching for cutlery, Zero has been making posters. Her handwriting is legible, but awkward, and little polecat footprints dot the margins. The message is simple:
