A two-story drop isn't a great start to this little expedition - but he can, indeed, manage it, making use of the distinctive molding of the building's facade to scale its front.

It's a bit of an odd reversal, being the one being covered rather than focusing on covering his brother's sides as Chobe rushes into combat. As of the last few years, though, he's a little more accustomed to changing things up. He determines rather quickly just what that plume does, too; he's fast to begin with, but there's no missing the way moving gets easier, bit by bit, as though the resistance of the air itself were being siphoned away. Worth it after all, then.

In the moments Rose starts to get overwhelmed, Toma proves himself willing to intervene; not much to be gained by leaving his guide to die. ...Even if he's likely to gripe a bit, particularly in moments where he considers her cornering the product of carelessness.

As they make progress, though, Rose may notice something else a bit odd. It's likely hard to see; it doesn't happen to every injury, and it's quick when it does, and it all happens under the blood already caked onto his skin and the fresh stains he's accumulating. Some of those new injuries, though, simply close up - not smoothly, not in a simple, rapid closing of flesh, but with a ripple of what look like vines stitching the skin back together.

Toma can't help his own quiet exhalation as they finally reach the baths. It's no surprise that he's filthier now than he was when they started, but it's still extremely unpleasant.

He eyes Rose as she gestures to the baths... and, for a moment, it probably looks like he's going to do as Rose expects.

Instead, decisively and maybe even pointedly, he turns away and sets about unbuttoning his jacket, speaking over his shoulder as he does. "Is there anywhere we're meant to rinse off, or are we just expected to make a mess of the baths themselves?"
