"Forgive me," she says in a near-monotone. "I mean you no harm. I am merely a doll made to please, soothe, and empower, visiting as I think you are. Perhaps I should sing more, so I do not surprise the unfamiliar."
The Doll spreads her articulated fingers, displaying palms empty of weaponry.
"I am unsuited to combat, so I thought I might wait here, where any who wish may avail themselves of my services." She does not presume to explain further unless asked. If this man wishes to run her through despite her harmlessness, that is his choice. Nor would it be surprising; the Doll can smell all the blood he's shed over years of life.
