Alastor takes the opportunity to watch him work. It's not only the recipe he's learning, but it gives him the opportunity to note any other especially interesting details about this baker. The shop also tells a story, he's sure, like the portrait of that lovely lady who he presumes might be the place's namesake. Tight security, too, for a simple bakery.

"I do! My mother had me help out the local butcher myself when I was young." A rare, fond sigh from reminiscing. He learned so much there. "I didn't take to it well enough to make a career out of it though, unfortunately. Just a hobby. No, my real passion was in radio." Sitting bedside and listening to tales of intrigue or drama unfold with only a voice to guide one along...

"Helped make some extra cash though and kept me out of my mother's hair. I was told I was a - oh, what was her word? - precocious youth." Which as Angeal might know is code for 'a handful.'
