Even before Prompto's grip squeezes down around his, Ignis can already feel a difference in the way he's holding onto him. The minute details of slack shifting from surprise to a kind of ease, before it tightens around him. A silent little prayer of gratitude.
Ignis doesn't say anything. Only, while Prompto glances up towards the chocobo, there's a small glance towards him, lips curved into an openly fond smile.
There. He's feeling much better, now, isn't he? Ignis still doesn't have any answers that would make this easier but he supposes that it's not something in dire need of such for now. More importantly... Prompto has relaxed, and gained that natural shine to him which draws one in. Certainly he thinks it drew Noctis in, when he was still withdrawn away from everything. One of those things which helped to brighten his life.
It's what suits him best. Ignis certainly thinks so.
"Well, until we can speak chocobo, I imagine that neither of us will find an answer any time soon," Ignis says, smile flickering away from hiss face as he and the chocobo assess one another. They're prey animals, after all; it wouldn't do to be too quick or sudden. "Regardless... For those who hang in the background, quiet from the rest of the flock, I have found them to be some of the best creatures."
A careful raise of his hand, to let the chocobo know it's coming, right there in view. "They tend to be incredibly thoughtful, thinking greatly and considerately about the rest of their flock. It is easy to miss them, often, with how quiet they can be... But that is only when they are not in their element. Once you offer the perfect environment, the right flock, they often seem to shine incredibly brightly with an energy one might find hard to match. Quiet and reserved are not bad things, nor are they the entirety of the picture."
There. He raises his hand up along the bird's long neck, and smiles once more as it leans into his touch. That's it, that's it. "People get too wrapped up in certain factors that don't really matter at all, sometimes. So wrapped up that they become oblivious to things such as passion, loyalty, the will which keeps us focused on what's truly important. You'll find that in surprisingly quiet places."
Gently scritching the chocobo's feathers, Ignis turns the smile to Prompto. "I rather like this chocobo, I think."
