Noctis refocuses on this, on them, just the two of them and the words Ignis is saying. He grips Noct's hand just a little tighter as if to emphasize his question, which makes Noctis' brows lift.

"Yeah, of course," he says, once again with no hesitation - indeed, he's not even sure why it's a question at all. "Nothing's going to make it any less true, and like I said...I told you because I thought you should know, and nothing's going to change my mind on that, either."

Even if Ignis doesn't love him this way. Noctis isn't sure what other reason his advisor might have for asking all these questions and circling some center that Noct can't see. But he meant it when he said he didn't want to make Ignis give him any answer in return, so hard as it may be to handle uncertainty or rejection, Noctis is beginning to loosen his grip on the fear that bringing this up to Ignis could ruin their relationship - personal or professional.

If there's any difference between the two at all with Ignis. Noctis isn't sure there is or ever was.
