Noctis blinks - but after a moment, he realizes it was silly to think Ignis might think less of him for dating both Prompto and Gladio, if he already knew about both. The rest does surprise him, though, Ignis just rolling with the idea that there could be others. And it's a good thing he's fine with leaving that for later, because now really doesn't seem like the right time to mention Ardyn.

Brandt can mind his own business, Noctis intends to tell Ignis these things himself!

All of that flees from Noctis' mind immediately when Ignis goes on. "Wait...what?" He frowns, multiple implications trying to vie for the thing that occurs to Noctis first. "Why didn't you tell me before? And - wait, you mean you were dating Gladio, even back then in Insomnia? What do you mean, you were dating him, what about now?"

A pause, as the question among those that's most important to Noctis really settles into place and makes the others take a backseat.

"Why...why didn't you tell me?" he repeats, quieter this time.
