I. Awakening - Infirmary

Some people arrive in Amani to a quick once-over by the infirmary staff and get sent on their way soon enough. Others arrive in poorer conditions and must stay there for a time until their simulated bodies stabilize. This man is definitely in the latter camp. Anyone who happens upon him there will have front row seats to his quiet but firm attempts to leave despite the staff's adamant insistence that he isn't well and he must stay in bed for at least a day or two.

To be fair, looking at him, he doesn't look well. Maybe the staff are on to something?

II. Exploring with a Digital Friend

In some cultures, it's said that a single feather from a firebird can perform miracles. So anyone who happens to see a falcon-sized firebird flitting around Makmur may have a mind to follow it, or perhaps try to talk to it. If so, it performs no miracles for them, but does lead them to its master - a slim, pretty man with bright red hair wandering the hub and taking in all the sights and sounds.

The most likely place to find him is the library, where he will gladly spend hours reading about other worlds and will absolutely attempt to read that large book that records everything that happens in Amani...sadly, he needs permission to read anything about anyone else, but perhaps someone will be kind enough to give it to him?

He can also be found at the training grounds, practicing his swordplay and testing the limits of what his powers can and can't do in this place. Ill-advised? Probably, but that's never stopped him before.

Or find him at any of the shops or restaurants, such as the bakery, Rosie's Records, or the joint pawn shop and potions shop. Or anywhere else! He's curious about Amani - and, of course, a man's got to eat.

III. Tripping over Tropes

Joshua is already prone to waxing poetic and bringing a little more romance into things than is necessarily appropriate for the situation. Add in a classic trope or two, and the fanfic practically writes itself.

He might need rescuing as a dude in distress, or might drop in to rescue someone else. Maybe it's a case of mistaken identity somehow, or someone needs to fake a relationship with a very pretty man. Or perhaps there's only one bed, but don't worry - he's very good at warming people up when it's chilly. He's also a healer, so if anyone is injured, he will gladly take care of them.

IV. Wildcard!

[I'm on discord for plotting or if you'd rather just write a starter and throw it at me, I'll probably roll with it!]
