Ardyn flinches from Noctis' anger, not out of real fear (though Ardyn's body does seem rather tall from this vantage), but out of guilt. He's right, of course, it's hardly fair to expect Noctis to just bear the Scourge, especially without any real forewarning or planning. And he'd say so, but he needs to be ready to deal with the Ring crisis...
...which never comes. Ardyn goes from panicked to concerned to confused to surprised in about a minute. He exchanges glances with Noctis. How in the world...?
"That's... good," he says cautiously. "Perhaps, to be on the safe side, you might put it in..."
Wait, who has Noctis' Armiger? Ardyn experimentally summons the first thing that comes to mind: his old, familiar hat. It appears comically-large in Rosie's hand, and besides, she was already wearing a hat. Ardyn banishes the old reliable chapeau.
"Well, the Scourge stayed in my body, but the Armiger moved with my mind. That's interesting... but no reason not to switch back," he adds hurriedly. "We could eat more grapes and see if that helps." Red spider lilies on Rosie's brow betray Rosie's sadness at the idea. He's used to controlling his face and mannerisms, but not flowers.
