Barnabas moves closer again and Noctis is reminded then that Rosie has a canine sense of smell - as silent as Barnabas is, Noctis can tell he's getting closer, here in the other king's quarters where there are few other scents around to distract. The slight perfume scent blended in is interesting, but Noctis has no real context for what women's perfume smells like vs. men's cologne, so he doesn't clock it as strange - well, except the fact that Barnabas is wearing such a thing at all, though if he goes around seducing people all the time...

The scent getting stronger works in Barnabas' favor, distracting Noctis' attention away from the sea and the ship in time for his...reminder. The firm touch that pulls his eyes back to meet Barnabas' gaze again and the way he leans over Noctis bring the heat blossoming right back to the surface. Noctis closes his legs.

"Nothing wrong with a little conversation, but uh...no, no waning here."

He's so unused to being the one to initiate intimacy that it doesn't yet occur to him that he could be leveraging Rosie's hotness to take some control of the situation.
