Hearing that Barnabas is the enemy of all of the other Domninants rings an alarm bell in Noctis' mind. He's going to have to ask Dion or Cid more about this guy. "I'd say it concerns not only me, but the rest of Amani, too, depending on what your aim here is." He shakes his head. "Dion isn't rallying anyone." Yet, anyway. "He mentioned you as Odin, nothing more. My world has versions of the others - Shiva, Ifrit, Bahamut - but no Odin among them."
"Pawn?" That gets his hackles up, but he grips the axe's shaft hard and forces himself not to act out of angry impulse. What this guy thinks doesn't matter. He takes a breath and aims for an even tone. "I'm no one's pawn. But if Dion - my friend - ever does ask me for aid or support, I'm inclined to help him out."
...he can't help tacking on, "You do know what a 'friend' is, right?"
