1. Bodyswap: Ardyn Edition
Noctis finds that residing in Ardyn's body for a while has its pros and cons. Pros: Noctis gets to be taller and broader and stronger than usual. He no longer has to deal with chronic back pain or a slight limp or fatigue or constant drowsiness. His stamina and pain tolerance are off the charts, he regenerates like a fiend, and...honestly, Ardyn just has a really sexy body, unlike Noctis' skinny ass. (In his opinion, anyway; but then, he's been comparing himself to Gladio his whole life, so his standards are skewed.)
Cons: the godsdamned Scourge. Maybe there are others, but they all pale so much in comparison that he probably hasn't even noticed them. It's a constant struggle against all his worst impulses and darkest emotions. Every little peeve or doubt or impatient moment is an opening for all that darkness to clamor for him to act on it - clamor for release. If he's not careful, it will drive him to destruction and hatred and domination. To make things burn and bleed and fall apart. And unlike Ardyn, Noctis hasn't had two thousand years to get used to it, or to learn to laugh in the face of horrors.
Anyone who finds him restlessly wandering the simulation, deliberately isolating himself, or - eventually - turning to Ardyn's usual tactic of trying to drink his way to temporary peace may notice something off about 'Ardyn,' or may simply approach to talk to him. Or possibly do more than talk. Does anyone dare to risk putting Noctis' self-control to the test?
2. Bodyswap: Rosie Edition
If residing in Ardyn's body was weird, this is even weirder. For one thing, he's...a girl. So there's that. For another, he's some kind of wolfish yokai, and he either can't or won't put up the glamour that makes Rosie look human. For a third...listen, he knows Rosie's insatiable, okay, but he always thought that was more of a mental or emotional thing? Turns out, it's at least partially a physical thing. Rosie is apparently just low-key horny all the time. And unlike either his own or Ardyn's body, Rosie has no chronic pain of any kind. Her body is strong and flexible and athletic and...well, hot.
He's not about to try to impersonate Rosie; he knows he'd do a terrible job even if he wanted to, which he really doesn't. So anyone who knows Rosie - and who doesn't? - may find her unusually awkward, recalcitrant, or serious today. Or complaining about her boobs.
