If Squall Is familiar in his grumpiness, then Sylvain is pretty familiar with the suave and overly charming way he speaks. Squall gets a glimpse of a memory of a friend in a cowboy hat, someone who's not yet been here but missed all the same. Usually he'd ignore the obvious flirting and just be on his way but this man is new and maybe might need help.

"Well then I guess a welcome is in order. If you ever need help with anything I'm usually at the bakery in the mornings." He looks around at all the sand, the familiar setting and making sure his dark kimono is okay he sits down rather properly and stiff. It's a wonder how the man is fairing so well in the heat with a heavy black kimono adorned in fur and hair as long as his is. Yet despite the heat there isn't a drop of sweat on him.

"Did you learn about stamps yet? We take them at the bakery but we also usually just give things away or trade for other materials when you get it. Never gonna turn someone away whose hungry." He's trying to be nice, trying to smile but it just comes off still a bit cold.
