Gladio readily begins moving toward the beach when Nyx indicates it, slinging an arm around Nyx's shoulders to pull him along with him. His expression doesn't shift to something more relaxed, however, despite Nyx's efforts to lighten the mood. Nyx isn't even trying to make his avoidance subtle, and maybe someone else might allow it - might decide not to force Nyx to talk about a clearly uncomfortable subject.

But this is Gladio. He doesn't do indirect, and he doesn't run away from things just because they're hard or uncomfortable. He's not going to let Nyx do so, either. He has a hunch - almost a certainty, really - that Nyx has never seriously talked about what happened, or processed it, with anyone. High time he did, in that case.

Gladio can't try to help him when the man won't even admit there's a damned problem.

He waits until they're a decent stretch of beach between them and the vendors before he speaks. "So what did it cost?"
