If the main hub and its features don't appeal to you, that's perfectly fine. This is the perfect time to configure your Digitized Technical Friend or your DTF status. A DTF is similar to a dæmon from His Dark Materials in that it is connected to and a reflection of a character's soul. These DTFs take shape accordingly and are projections similar to the NPCs. Think of them as your own personal Clippy except less annoying. Hopefully.

Once that's set-up, there are other locations of the main hub to investigate! You can visit the training grounds, music lounge, library, and onsen. Also, feel free to leave an offering for the resident deity of sleep (Hypnos) at his shrine! You can even visit The Peacekeeper themselves on the second floor. They're always happy to have visitors! They're also conveniently where you might place a complaint about that status of the main hub and its amenities. Even if you do complain, The Peacekeeper will encourage others to set off and find their own place to live out in the simulation.

Granted, the housing market in the afterlife isn't exactly robust. It doesn't help that every place you find has a leaky roof or broken window. No, unfortunately that will need to be fixed the peaceful way. If you'd like more lighting or even cozier clothes, simulation inhabitants are reminded that 'peaceful interactions' are very important!

It might be a good idea to stick close to someone you know, for now, since even the smallest amounts of intimacy might see subtle changes occurring where they're staying. Perhaps that broken window is now fixed, the grime and dust seem a little less, or the floor doesn't creak quite as loud.

Larger changes, however, will only come after demonstrating the more powerful peaceful interactions. If you want new hardwood floors or a fresh coat of paint on the walls, you're going to have to demonstrate how well you 'get along' with others against them first.

A FOUL WIND BLOWS

For the last couple of weeks, The Peaceekeeper has been relatively quiet save for the mandatory greeting of newcomers. In fact, it doesn't even make the usual announcement that it has before to alert inhabitants of the sudden shift in weather. Blue skies and sunshine gradually begin to darken over. The wind picks up to a frightening gale that will see people likely needing to strap things down and fasten their shutters tight.

However, it's not anything physical that inhabitants will likely end up losing. The forceful rain, wind, and ensuing storm will instead strip away their inhibitions if they're unlucky enough to be caught in it.

What was holding you back, anyway? It's hard to remember or seems so suddenly trivial. It's not an issue anymore. that's for sure! Whether this is about something intimate, secrets kept, or things you know you shouldn't say for any number of reasons don't matter. Self-consciousness and doubt feel like a thing of the past and you're free to chase whatever whims you want!

Hopefully, you won't regret it when the effects wear off in a few day's time.

The mermaids that live beneath the waves of Taasunni Beach are extremely grateful that the inhabitants have taken the time and effort to clean up their home. To show their gratitude, they've decided to let everyone experience the beauty of the once-again pristine ocean for themselves!

Upon request, one of the mermaids lounging in the shallows will kiss inhabitants to fill them with magic. This gift will transform them into merfolk themselves for about 6 hours, allowing them to breathe underwater, swim swiftly, and explore or play in the depths to their hearts' content.

Those who indulge in this, especially repeatedly, may find themselves feeling unusually buoyant and free--as though a weight has lifted from their shoulders, and their troubles are simply washing away on the tide.

[The beach was not Dimitri's favorite place. He'd been entangled in vines twice now and had even had to fight off Dinosaurs. It just hadn't been the best time for him save that time he had some very good coconuts. He was walking the beach in just his pants, the heat having forced him to remove most of his things long ago and his skin was red in many places where he'd been burned from the sun. Curse his pale Faerghan ass.]

[He's walking the shore, picking up any leftover trash he sees from that wild storm they just had. That had been a time. As he's walking the shore he sees a familiar silhouette and his feet cause him to hurry. It's Felix but...something is different. This Felix has his hair up in a ponytail and he...no..it can't...can It?]

[Dimitri stops to a halt, Felix's back to him as his heart beat starts to quicken. Is Felix, his Felix truly here?]

....F-Felix

[His voice cracks as he moves closer, needing to see his face. He reaches out but doesn't touch him, not yet. He has to know if it's him. If it's the Felix he grew up with and come to be in this world with him.]

Felix...do you...remember me?

[The noisy ocean disguises the sound of an approach behind him. Felix drops the nets in the surf, splashing saltwater on himself. There's a mix of emotions crossing his face, but he settles on a huffy scowl and trudges up out of the water to stand in front of him.]

I don't remember boars being red.

[He lifts his chin to glare up at him and jabs a finger at his chest. Prepare for an earful, Dimitri.]

Of course I know you. And I know you came here by yourself! What do you think you've been doing? Do you think there won't be any trouble just because you're not in Fódlan? Although most trouble comes from you! You don't know a damn thing about taking care of yourself and you thought you'd be just fine alone? It's a miracle you're not keeled over already with how little sleep you get if someone's not forcing you into bed. You utter fool.

[It's him. It's really him. His Felix. The one he spent his childhood with, the man he learned to love so many years later, the man he wanted to... He didn't mind that Felix was yelling at him, he didn't care how he poked at his sunburned skin or the old moniker coming back at him. No, all he cared was that he finally wasn't alone. He had Felix, his Felix with him here. Someone who wouldn't look at him with hate or confusion in his eyes. These were the eyes of someone who knew him.]

Felix....

[His words fell on deaf ears as tears started to form. He reached up to wipe his face but as he did the tears fell down faster, staining his face.]

Felix it's you...you're...you're actually here.

[His tears won't stop and he knows Felix is going to scold him over it but he can't help it. He pulls him in and hugs him tight, his head resting on Felix's bare shoulder as he lets his emotions get the better of him.]

I was so...so alone..

Wha-- Dimitri?

[The crying throws him off. When was the last time he's seen him cry? It was Felix who was usually labeled the crier, at least when they were little. For a moment he thinks his ranting made him cry, and a sense of awkward panic goes through him. How does he handle this? Dimitri never cried about his scolding before.]

I wasn't trying to--...

[But then Dimitri's hugging him and leaning on his shoulder and saying he was alone. A different kind of alone. Felix huffs against his blond hair. He lifts his arms to embrace him in return, letting the moment be silent but for ocean waves. Dimitri feels hot from the sun.]

...Don't tell me you were near succumbing to more of those 'waking dreams' without me around. I've now seen exactly how you might lose your mind.

You're here....you're really here...

[He pulls back, eyes a bit red from the tears as he stays close enough still to hold Felix's face in his hands. The calloused fingers enjoying the softness of the other's face]

I was alone here...no one recognized me as I am now.....Felix I...I'm happy you are here.

[He removes a hand from Felix's face to wipe his won and smiles even if he can't stop the tears.]

I thought I'd be alone here forever...an outsider to all the others we once knew all because our time was a little different...but you're here now...you're here with me...I...

[He's really badly sunburned but he picks up Felix around his waist and holds him tightly anyway, their chests pressed together as he showers him in kisses to his cheek.]

I missed you. I missed you more than I can tell.

[There's that Blaiddyd strength again, lifting him up like he's made of paper. He makes a gruff noise, scrunching his face under the shower of kisses to his cheek. He stops it by getting a hand under his jaw and seizing his chin.]

Ugh. Should I call you a dog instead? You're like one that hasn't seen its master in a week.

[Exasperated, but with a small smile on his face, he pulls on his chin, maneuvering Dimitri's face into a proper lips-to-lips kiss. Felix kisses him hard, possessively, tilting his own face to press in close.]

[The touches are so familiar, something only his Felix has ever done to him. Sure the other two Felix's he's met are incredibly similar but none of them touch him back so easily like his does. Felix has showed him affection many times and even sometimes so bold as to do it in public in front of others and every time he'd stop Dimitri in his tracks and derail whatever was bothering him.]

If that is what you wish of me I will be it. I'll be anything you want if it means I'll never lose you again.

[Dimitri keeps Felix in his arms but it's the only thing he's controlling, letting Felix have his way with him however he wants. He missed this so much, he missed the way Felix could so capture his attention and have him become putty in his hands. A moan escapes his lips as he eagerly kisses him back. He is like a lost puppy reunited with his master and he doesn't care how that makes him sound. He loves his Felix and now he gets to be with him once more.]

Don't be ridiculous. I don't want you to be my misbehaving dog. I prefer being your right-hand man.

[He kisses him again, this time softer and slower, savoring the lips of his king. Eventually, he parts with a sigh, hands resting on Dimitri's shoulders.]

...Look, it's hard to explain, because I don't even understand it myself. But... I was here already. Except it wasn't really me... but it was me?

[He winces. Trying to wrap his head around it starts to form a headache.]

I have a memory of coming across you here before.

You will always be so much more than just my right hand man Felix

[The soft kiss is something that melts him tot he very core. He placed Felix back on the ground finally, leaning down into him.]

What do you mean you were already here? We...met before? [He tried to think of the two Felix's he's seen and which one he could have possibly be.]

Did I...Did I treat you good then? You're still my dear heart no matter what form you take.

The... uh... me that was at the underground lake with you. I was in his place his whole life, and also my own. Something happened here, and now I'm... me. Ugh... I feel like I'm fifty years old.

[He goes quiet a moment. There's a lot of horror in those memories. At least he can tell them apart, but thinking on them hurts.]

So... I know what you'd be like if you lost yourself. And I know what would happen if I made mistakes like leaving you alone and going against the kingdom.

[He bumps his head against Dimitri, leaning back into Dimitri's lean, like he needs to feel his presence and shake off some of the horror of the timeline where he's dead.]

...We should get out of the sun, before I turn a red as you.

The cavern...that...Felix..

[He kisses him once more, remembering that meeting all too well. That Felix has been so broken and all he wished was to help him. Was it a mercy that they were now the same? What did that even mean? He wasn't sure how this could be but he was happy that Felix would finally know his love and maybe accept it as his own.]

I am sorry you have to go through that but I will be beside you and help all I can. I won't ever abandon you Felix.

[He couldn't abandon Felix even if he had to, he loves him too much and he will make sure he knows that love.]

Yes, let's find somewhere private. This is a joyful reunion and I'd like to make it memorable for the both of us.

[He sighs softly into the kiss, and rests his hands on the sides of his face, smudging away any lingering wetness from Dimitri's tears.]

Abandon me? You practically forced me to become your duke. I doubt you'd even let me quit, much less discard me. Besides, I'm more concerned with your habit of doing things on your own.

[He slips a hand down into Dimitri's hand, and gives it a pull, leading him into the line of trees where there's shade.]

[He closes his eyes at the gentle touch from Felix, lavishing ins the familiar sensations he's missed so much. They were so close in their world, so tender behind closed doors and it's something he's been missing here.]

I won't do anything alone with you here now. I don't think I could pry myself away from you anytime soon. Felix I have missed you, not just your touch. I have missed all of you.

[He lets himself be led into the shade, gently squeezing Felix's hand and keeping his eyes on him as they walk together.]

My heart, will you come stay with me after this?

[This time the sweet nickname gets a hot blush out of him. He glances away.]

The way you talk is so embarrassing sometimes...

[He nudges Dimitri into walking ahead.]

I... I mean... he... didn't have much of a place to stay. I'll go with you.

[That causes him to pause in his walking and he only squeezes Felix's hand tighter, not enough to hurt but enough to cause him to stop walking as well]

He....didn't have anywhere to go? I have a place....I have a home here. I could have helped him. I could have let him stay with me and taken care of him....

[The tears start once more as grief overtakes him. That Felix was so broken and alone and to think he didn't even have a place to go breaks his heart. He wishes he coukd fix that, change things so he knew he was loved. He wished he could have done more.]

I'm so sorry Felix. I'm so sorry I didn't do enough for you ..for him. I should have done so much more, I could have...please forgive me. Please let me make it up to you.

[Still blushed, Felix nudges him hard.]

Stop that. He was invited to stay with Sylvain, but he was used to being alone and on the move. He... felt like it wasn't right for him to be near anyone, after what happened.

[He sighs between his teeth.]

I'm not like that anymore, alright? I have this life with you, where I did most things right. This is the one I want, even if I'm worked to the bone from all the duties I have to do for you.

I don't wish to work you to the bone Felix, I just want you at my side. If it is not Sylvain you wish to stay with my own home will be yours as well. I have spare rooms so that you won't need to always be in my space. I simply...

[He pauses and pulls Felix closer to him, a hand running through that long ponytail of silky dark strands.]

I simply need you by my side so I know you are still around....to see you disappear once more...I would not be able to handle it.

[He shuts his eyes, relaxing as fingers comb through his hair, and leans himself on Dimitri's chest.]

Obviously I'm following you home. Someone has to keep an eye on you.

[This is exactly what he wanted, has been craving. He has Felix back in his arms and he couldn't be happier]

Home. Will you call it your own home? I can let you keep one of the rooms for yourself.

[He runs his hands along Felix's bare back, enjoying the skin on skin as they hug one another]

[He warms at that offer, face still red. A place they both call home? He wonders if Dimitri realizes how amorous he's being. They've had a charged intimacy for awhile now, and he loves him, but the path ahead was understood as "king and shield".]

...Yes. I'm done with making camp in the woods.

[He tilts his face up, brushing his lips over Dimitri's lips in spontaneous affection. Then he steps back from the hug and pulls on his arm again.]

I can't haul you there if I don't know where it is. So will you take me there now?

[Those lips against his will be something he won't be giving up anytime soon. He's going to kiss Felix until he's told to stop and hopefully that won't be for awhile. He truly loves those lips but it only lasts a moment before he's pulled aside.]

It's a bit of a walk but I think you will like it. I found a cabin in the woods on the mountain. It's not as hot as it is here but do not fret my heart, I have a working fireplace as well for warmth.

[For them it's hardly something needed, they grew up in the cold and are used to it but a fireplace is something he does cherish having for others and the idea of sitting by it curled up with Felix in his arms is too pleasant to pass up.]

I have some spare clothes as well if you'd like to borrow some for now....though if I have my way I would prefer you...undressed.

[Felix opens his mouth to say something sarcastic, but nothing comes out. He stammers a moment, the blush on his face creeping all the way to his ears. It's not as if they haven't been "undressed" for each other before, but putting it into words somehow flusters Felix even more.]

[He covers his hot face with a hand, and nudges Dimitri into moving again.]

[With that in mind, in the time during the walk there he decides to turn it around on Dimitri by shedding his half-set of clothes the moment he's inside with the cabin door shut behind them, not even looking around first. As he takes off his boots in the entryway, he also strips off his pants, leaving him in nothing but his hair tie. He flips his ponytail over his shoulder in a haughty gesture and puts a hand on his bare hip.]

Is this what His Majesty prefers?

[Dimitri's own face goes a bit red when Felix partially agrees to his words. He was joking of course but hearing that Felix might actually do that is something he hadn’t accounted for and it leaves him a mess. The whole way back to his home he is a mess of happiness, confusion, and now horny as well. He tries not to think too much on it until they are there.]

[There is a pause as Felix grabs his attention and stands there nude. He isnt even sure if Yuri is home at the moment to also witness this but his first thought is how beautiful his love is, then he momentarily panics Felix might be seen. Despite his painful sunburn he grabs Felix and pulls him close before throwing a blanket over him]

My heart please, you are beautiful but there are others who have keys to this place.

[Not wanting Felix to freak out though he does give him a kiss on the cheek and pulls him in closer, letting his own erection speak for itself on how much he enjoys this.]

May I carry you into the bedroom where I know it will be private?

[Once he realizes there's not actually anyone in the room at the moment, he huffs as he loops his arms around Dimitri's neck so he can be picked up comfortably.]

Sure. And it was your idea. At least you have people keeping tabs on you.

[He pauses when he feels his erection, and, thinking Dimitri deserves a little teasing, he slides his bare thigh almost between Dimitri's legs, rubbing up on it.]

[Dimitri eagerly picks him up, trying not to drop him from the distraction of a very naked Felix in his arms. Oh how he's missed this]

Yes well I didn't think you would do it right away. Did you miss me as greatly as I've missed you?

[He begins to take them to his room but has to stop, leaning on the wall as a moan escapes his lips, his grip tighter around Felix]
