Alright, alright! I'll leave the Mr.'s at the door, you got me.
[He laughed, but focused on listening attentively as Sänger spoke. Having been such a private person, himself, he found himself surprised at his willingness to share - but then again, people operated so differently here, it may just be how things go. That'd be an adjustment he'd need to work long and hard on, if that were the case.]
It sounds like he handed you an awful lot of responsibility real early on, what with managin' estates and tryin' to figure out the wealthy life real quick. Hard tellin' what goes on in rich folks' minds, though. I never could figure it out. They work on a whole different level of the way the world works than the rest of us, that's for sure. ...Not sayin' nothin' of you, of course. You seen it probably about every way it can be.
[He took a few moments to himself to do as Sänger did, adding his last few sweeps onto the pile. They'd divide it up when the time came and haul it back, he was sure. After a few fleeting seconds of consideration, though, he saw it fit to share a touch of his own. It was only fair, right?]
I think the closest to anything I got like that was when I lived with my gang back in Saint Denis. Beautiful city, in some parts. Marble pillars on mansions, beautiful bars, parks with flowers, everything you could imagine. Even had some real nice paved roads, don't see those too often.
It had a nasty underbelly, but it was nice to take a lil' night on the town, pretend that wasn't there for a few minutes. I grew up rough n' wild, so I took nights of luxury where I could get 'em. I didn't feel like I needed 'em or anything, but it was a nice break from everything I knew to see a different cut of the world, you know?
