There is a sense of comradery forming between them as Genesis explains how he has a similar situation to Squall. Never knowing his parents wasn't the biggest thing in his life, it sucked and he moved on but growing up with the thought had never been easy. Instinctively he pulls his jacket closer to him, the warmth and fluff making him feel better then any hug had ever done to him. It was his safety blanket, the one thing he had from his family he never knew.
