She knows he means well and she can tell in his stance and his words how regretful he truly is. Had lesser things happened she might have accepted his apology but as it is right now she just can't. Her town was ruined, her father dead...it was something she still wasn't over. She wasn't sure if she ever would be.
Still, Zack is taking the time to talk to her, he didn't delay this conversation at all and it's something to be commended for. He's at least a good man for that. Some would rather cower then admit to their past mistakes.
"I don't want to punch you or hurt you. Violence isn't the answer." She shakes her head and it's only then she actually really looks at him. The longer she looks the more she remembers those eyes, that face. He had been nice when he came to town but he had failed his mission in the worst of ways.
