There's somewhere else Soren would rather be right now, but that's generally a constant state of being. It doesn't mean he won't stop for a moment to take care of something. Ike's fine, he reminds himself. He may not be nearby, but he can handle himself, and the chance that he would vanish here and now of all places and times is incredibly slim. Something else is wrapping its hold over his attention, and it's the other constant state of being he's been simmering in since the end of Aefenglom and the beginning of Amani. If he weren't, that little remark about being bitten wouldn't affect him the way it does. Link unintentionally implants the intrusive inclination to sink his teeth into him. Which, of course, leads to other places. He closes the distance this time, places his hand in between his shoulder and collarbone and caresses with sharp nails.
