[Lorenz won't tell him as much but... he does summon up the faintest bit of wind magic to cushion his steps, prevent him from sinking into the soft sand despite the steep arch of his heels. It's an old ingrained habit for sandy terrain but doubly so now with the addition of heels and even moreso when following another's guidance. Not that he doesn't trust Claude completely but... well he's hardly well equipped for walking on the sand without.
Once they do manage to get to the correct location Lorenz furrows his brow slightly before permission is given and he blinks his eyes open. There's only the briefest moment Claude will have to worry before Lorenz' hands come up to his mouth covering a sharp gasp and the faint wobble in his lip that comes with the realization. There's so much implied in just this one gesture. The entire thing is unmistakably romantic and with how much Claude has always been careful to keep himself apart it's so very touching for him to be willing to make such a gesture.
