Warm. Byleth was warm but not in an uncomfortable way. The heat was too much for him but Byleth's warmth was pleasant even in the scorching sun. Slowly he tilted his head up to look at Byleth, mesmerized by his eyes as he laid there with his head in his laps. He doesn't look at the canteen as he drinks from it. His face is covered in sand as is the rest of his body. Some of the water spills from his lips and dribbles down his chin and to his chest.
Byleth looked so sad. Was he really upset for him or was he upset because of him? Dimitri was too tired to tell but he did know that he didn't like this face. It hurt more than the expressionless one he was used to. With his good arm he reached up and caressed Byleth's face as best he could.
"Don't be sad, please...I don't know how to make you happy."
