But also, he takes the opportunity to massage his fingers against the taught cords of muscle there. He can feel the intense tension in him.

This facilitates him leaning down close enough that he can lower his voice, and Dimitri can feel his breath against his neck and ear.

"Breathe with me." Something he does with his own Dimitri, when the man starts to spiral. He takes sure, measured breaths. Counting softly under his breath. Nice and slow. "It's going to be all right. I'm not your enemy. When you relax, I'll let you up." The fingers at his neck move up to gently card through his hair.
