zechs_isonfire: (contemplative)

Zechs smirked a little. “That is true enough. Neither of us would want to make someone uncomfortable, of course, but there’s little reason to dissemble about that sort of interest in a place like this. He is merely far more bold than I am.”

That brought a considering hum. When Zechs was a soldier, he had little use for soldiers who scurried around just to gain favor and rewards from their superiors. That was one form ambition could take. Yet, another would be how Zechs had been himself, full of idealism and vengeance. What did Genesis strive for with that ambition … his own glory … or perhaps the safety of his companions?

It’s not a question for Sephiroth, all the same. And Zechs had no ground to judge others for their ambitions any longer. Not after horrors his path had lead him down.

He managed not to blush at the accusation of bias. “He is. And perhaps I should meet Genesis myself in the future - this simulation does not seem that populous. Hopefully under better circumstances - we’d both likely prefer not to be drugged, it is my guess.”
