It wasn't his goal to convince the pegasus to act like a giant umbrella - but it's nice, anyway. Shinjiro would keep rubbing his soft face either way, relaxing a little. Maybe being dead wouldn't be the most awful thing, if he got to experience shit like this once in a while.
