"What else would you like me to do?" Sephiroth asks, watching him through half-lidded eyes. There's a slight smile playing around his mouth, however. "Or...would you like me to decide for you?"

This suggestion hints at how deeply he really has come to know Cloud, if only through Jenova. That Cloud might not know what he wants, or that he might find relief in leaving it to someone else to figure out, is definitely significant insight into who Cloud is and how he thinks.
