A quiet sigh escapes Cloud as Zack enfolds him in strong, warm arms. The heat feels amazing, and without thinking he responds by pressing as close as he can to Zack's broad chest. "I can handle a little chilly weather," he says, regardless of his current activity. Listen, just because he can handle it doesn't mean he can't appreciate his best friend as a human radiator while he's high on candy fish.

It's only after he warms up a bit that Cloud remembers how little Zack's wearing. Unbidden, the words of their DTFs resurface in his mind - 'peaceful interactions' can earn them shelter, which they currently badly need. Genesis' words drift back to him, too, about 'mutual feelings' and being honest with them. He doesn't want to cause Zack more anxiety...but he can't just say something like that!

"Hey, uh..." Hmm. Nope. Not happening. Gotta think of something else to say so Zack doesn't get suspicious. "Maybe...we should save some of those fish cakes for later. To stay warm after this one wears off."
