Cloud uses the silence to return to his own drink, taking it a little slower now than before. He half expects Genesis to just leave, and he considers leaving himself, but then the man breaks that silence again and Cloud can't stop the completely honest response that comes out of his mouth as he turns to stare at Genesis:

"Zack said he was fond of me?"
