"It doesn't matter," Sephiroth murmurs against his skin. "I won't let anything happen to you." He and Genesis are clearly on the same page; as long as they're together, nothing can actually harm them. That had been true even before their deaths; it wasn't until their trio had been sundered that tragedy had befallen them. Possibly, if there had been nothing to drive them apart, no harm could have found its way to any of them.

"I want you." This is still said quiet against Genesis' skin, but that heated intensity is back.
