It figures that Zechs wouldn't know anything more than Link about the Peacekeeper and its motives. Neither of them has been here long, but even if they had, how could they learn such a thing? In the end, Link isn't as concerned with motives as he is with figuring a way out of this place. Survival comes first, though.
Link doesn't intend to die again, but he would never hesitate to do so to protect the world and people he loves.
Of course he notices the piercings; he doesn't have any like that himself, just his ears, but they seem like they must have hurt. For a man so covered in scars, though, maybe they weren't painful at all. He realises he's staring again and makes himself look away.
"I don't think it gets that cold here." Of course the season could change at any time; if this is made up, then the world around them could change? Is that right? That sounds unsettling.
He moves closer to pick up Zechs's discarded shirt and move it to a nearby rock, spread out so it can dry faster. He doesn't like just standing there doing nothing. He'd rather help somehow.
He straightens up again after that and looks back at Zechs, realising.
